DeepSides is a small community site for rating and reviewing music. This page explains what we keep about you and why.
What we collect
- Your account: your email address, and the username, display name and picture you choose. If you sign in with Google, Google shares your name, email address and profile picture with us; we don’t get your Google password or anything else from your Google account.
- What you post: reviews, ratings, tags, favorites, Top 5, color votes, follows, and requests or link suggestions you send.
- Sign-in cookies: a cookie that keeps you signed in. We don’t use advertising or tracking cookies, and we don’t sell or share your information with advertisers.
What’s public
Your username, display name, picture, reviews, ratings, tags, favorites, Top 5, badges and follows are public, since that’s what the community is for. Your email address is never shown.
Who helps run DeepSides
DeepSides is hosted on Vercel, and accounts and data are stored with Supabase. Album details and covers come from MusicBrainz and the Cover Art Archive, and Apple Music links from Apple’s public search. These services only receive what they need to do their job.
Your choices
You can change or delete your reviews, ratings and picture at any time. To delete your whole account and everything you’ve posted, contact the DeepSides admin and we’ll remove it.
Changes
If this policy changes, we’ll update this page and the date above.
